Snowplow storage

!±8± Snowplow storage

For most of us, when spring comes, the snow blower storage is the last thing we want to think about it. We do not really want it, where the grass begins to green again, remember that there were several feet of snow a few weeks.

Unfortunately, the snow will come back too soon and how we manage our business hours plow has a big impact on how they should be ready for next ski season.

That's what I recommend as a minimum for storing a snowblowerduring the summer season:

Clean the exterior of the unit well. If you have lost your fan to melt the salt, you should wash your power. There is also a good idea, all exposed metal parts with good anti-rust spray. If you have a larger machine and snow chains use, it should be out, check the connections and spray damaged or worn with a good rust inhibitor. You should be hanged until you are ready for the next ski season. Check tires for damage, such as:Cracking, and examination scores, and make sure they are properly inflated before storing. Check all cables and cable ends. What will replace those that are damaged or died immediately instead of waiting until next season begins. Replace cracked or frayed belt now - wait until next fall and then be in a position that you need. When you save your car in a dusty, like a garden shed, would be a good idea to cover it well.

Two-stroke engines

Remove the spark plugInsert and turn the piston at bottom dead center (BDC). Then "fog" inside the cylinder two-stroke fogging oil (available from any place that sells two-stroke motor units). You can manually turn the plunger up and down a couple of times, so that the BDC position, and then a further test of fogging oil. Replace the plug and is ready for next season. Empty the tank and fuel lines, and spray a little 'fogging oil in the tank. If youdrain the float chamber on the engine, this should be done.

Four-stroke engines

Allow the engine to heat the exhaust, then the oil and refill with fresh oil. You should also circulates the engine a few minutes with fresh oil. Fill the tank, and add an additive gasoline. This can be purchased at any auto parts. Then start the engine, stabilized fuel into the carburetor and lines will be distributed. For the long-term preservation of the four-stroke engine,Follow the instructions described in "Two-stroke engines."

Electric Snow

Be sure to carefully check all electrical connectors and switches for electric snow thrower. You do not wait until the next snow season, this is because it is easily forgotten, and things always seem to fail when you need it most. Their extension cord must be checked carefully for cuts or scratches, or worn connectors. There is also a good idea to keep the snow blower Extensionseparated from the rest of your extension cord and hung out of the way, to protect them from accidental damage.

These are just the minimum, what should be done to preserve snow. There is always a good idea to have the manual for the special things you need to do before the specific model to verify the following season.
